最初は品川近辺に化け猫の女中(メイド)がいる宿があるらしいって噂から始まって、それが日本各地に広まり
それを題材とした戯作(今でいう週刊誌・小説・ガイドブックetcの総称)を色んな戯作家が書いていき、一大ブームを巻き起こす。
中でも特に人気のあった設定「お気に入りの遊女が実は化け猫」は歌舞伎や浄瑠璃の演目になったほど。


つまり、大和魂はいまだに我々に受け継がれ続けているということだ。"
